Synopsis
[Synopsis]
In an alternate universe hidden beyond the veil of plushies,
you end up helping out a number of girls burdened by duty.
[System]
There is no luck involved in this game.
Defeat all enemies using superior tactical planning and the “Awakening” system.
Your strategy and the customization of the AI will directly effect the outcome of battle.
The only control you have over battle, during battle, is via the “Awakening” system.
Use will-force to buff the heroines’ battle prowess.
In the end, you will eventually become capable of nullifying any kind of damage,
but once “Awakened” it is not possible to cancel the effects until the battle ends.
Will-force will continuously deplete, wearing out both mind and soul…
If this state continues for too long, the subject will go into “Berserker” mode.
Ignoring all strategy and commands… (Which may be useful actually?)
As you can only interact with the alternate world in question via a stuffed toy…
most of your interaction with the heroines is via the words you choose to send them.
Depending on what you select, you may gain “Heart.”
“Heart” effects how the story will proceed and branch off,
and you can also give it directly to the heroines to boost their battle prowess.
* The game is completely controllable by the mouse alone.

Editorial Review
Breaker Hearts occupies an unusual niche: a tactical RPG that strips real-time battle control entirely in favor of pre-battle preparation and resource management through an “Awakening” system. This design philosophy—minimizing player input during combat itself—is rare enough to distinguish it from the typical layer-based strategy titles that dominate the doujin RPG space.
The core hook is genuinely clever. You’re building AI personalities and customizing heroines before sending them into deterministic combat, then managing a resource called will-force that amplifies their performance at the cost of eventual berserker states. This creates an interesting decision tree: do you push heroines toward controllable power buffs, or risk the unpredictability of berserker mode for desperate situations? The mechanic transforms what could be passive watching into meaningful pre-battle strategy, where your foresight and understanding of character matchups matter more than reflexes. The stuffed toy framing device—your only interface to this alternate world—is whimsical enough to justify the mechanical distance, though the synopsis cuts off before fully explaining how this conceit affects gameplay pacing or narrative depth.
The Japanese origin combined with music as a tagged element suggests attention to soundtrack, likely reinforcing the surreal plushie-world aesthetic rather than following generic RPG conventions. Role-playing here seems focused on character customization and personality development rather than traditional narrative branching.
This appeals most to players fatigued by action-heavy RPGs who want systems-driven tactical depth without execution pressure—think automation enthusiasts who enjoy optimizing builds and predicting outcomes. The lack of RNG is a strong selling point for those seeking reproducible strategy.
A thoughtfully designed alternative to combat-heavy RPGs that rewards preparation over reflexes, though whether the execution justifies the concept depends on how thoroughly the customization systems reward experimentation.
