Summary
[Story]
Long, long ago, the world was engulfed in darkness under the Demon Lord’s reign. But thanks to the power of humanity and their chosen hero, light was returned to the land.
It’s been 300 years since then, and the whole world has known nothing but peace… That is, until people started to notice something… The darkness was slowly creeping back.
So begins the journey of a group of heroic girls…
[Gameplay]
This is an RPG. There are no difficult systems or anything like that, just a lot of fun story content. You’ll even get to see a bit of the girls’ daily lives. I put my all into designing the towns and dungeons, so I hope you enjoy!

Editorial Review
Promise plants itself squarely in the narrative-driven RPG space—specifically the subset that prioritizes character development and worldbuilding over mechanical complexity. It occupies comfortable territory alongside other story-heavy doujin titles, though its combination of RPG structure with what appears to be a visual novel-like event system leans toward accessibility rather than genre innovation.
The work’s identity hinges on its dual-track approach: a classic fantasy narrative scaffold (post-victory darkness returning) paired with what the creator describes as character-focused daily life content. This is the distinguishing move here. Rather than mining the “light returns, peace established” premise for epic scope, Promise seems interested in the mundane texture between story beats—who these heroic girls are when they’re not fighting encroaching shadow. The inclusion of event CGs, town and dungeon design, and explicit emphasis on “story content” over systemic depth suggests a visual novel sensibility wrapped in RPG’s familiar navigation and pacing framework.
The Japanese origin and music tag imply an original soundtrack component, which in doujin RPGs often elevates atmospheric immersion without demanding AAA production. The application designation hints at reasonably polished UI and accessibility across common platforms.
Fans of character-driven fantasy narratives with minimal mechanical friction will find the most value here. This appeals specifically to those who prefer relationship mapping and slice-of-life moments over combat optimization, and who want structured story progression without the obtuse tutorials that plague many doujin RPGs.
Promise delivers straightforward narrative comfort food executed with visible craft. It won’t challenge players mechanically or narratively, but it commits earnestly to its character-centric vision and promises substantial content depth—exactly what its title implies: a reliable delivery on a modest but genuine promise.
