Synopsis

Sachihiro Kawamura, the protagonist, is now in his 20th year working as a janitor at a prestigious academy. While diligently performing his daily duties, he has been increasingly troubled by a female student named Rino who constantly picks on him. Rino’s flashy appearance and intimidating behavior are out of place at this academy, and she constantly denies and demeans Sachihiro’s work and character. At first he overlooked it and forgave her, but gradually it escalated and became unbearable. Then one day, when she finally causes him actual harm, Sachihiro reaches his breaking point. Prepared to be fired, he decides to give Rino an adult punishment. After a night of punishment that leaves Rino broken in body and spirit, Sachihiro is filled with an unprecedented sense of accomplishment, and his lingering attachment to his remaining years dissolves. He expects to be arrested immediately after, but days pass without incident. Sachihiro relaxes and continues his work as usual—until one day after school, Rino reappears. Read more
