Synopsis

Over a decade has passed since mysterious hostile entities known as “Shadows” first appeared. Humanity established an elite anti-Shadow task force and has been fighting ever since. Locations where Shadows emerge are filled with a toxic miasma that mercilessly claims human lives. While some elite soldiers awakened special abilities when the Shadows first appeared, the protagonist was merely assigned to the unit for having “resistance” to the miasma. Despite working on the front lines where death is constant, he endures constant ridicule from superiors and outsiders alike, treated as disposable. His mind was on the verge of breaking—he had only a day or two left before reaching his limit. It was at this critical moment that something unprecedented appeared before him: a Shadow that could actually communicate. This clearly abnormal entity makes an outrageous proposal—betray humanity, which has mistreated you, and join us instead. But no matter how cornered he was, he was still human. His resolve should have held firm, but it shattered for a very primitive reason: “Mating.” The Shadow possesses a female host and proposes intercourse with the protagonist. The reward for cooperation? Unlimited sexual encounters with a beautiful woman. He couldn’t refuse. It was the most effective card against him. And so begins his betrayal.
