Synopsis
[Synopsis]
In an alternate universe hidden beyond the veil of plushies,
you end up helping out a number of girls burdened by duty.
[System]
There is no luck involved in this game.
Defeat all enemies using superior tactical planning and the “Awakening” system.
Your strategy and the customization of the AI will directly effect the outcome of battle.
The only control you have over battle, during battle, is via the “Awakening” system.
Use will-force to buff the heroines’ battle prowess.
In the end, you will eventually become capable of nullifying any kind of damage,
but once “Awakened” it is not possible to cancel the effects until the battle ends.
Will-force will continuously deplete, wearing out both mind and soul…
If this state continues for too long, the subject will go into “Berserker” mode.
Ignoring all strategy and commands… (Which may be useful actually?)
As you can only interact with the alternate world in question via a stuffed toy…
most of your interaction with the heroines is via the words you choose to send them.
Depending on what you select, you may gain “Heart.”
“Heart” effects how the story will proceed and branch off,
and you can also give it directly to the heroines to boost their battle prowess.
* The game is completely controllable by the mouse alone.

Editorial Review
Breaker Hearts positions itself in the tactical RPG space with a distinctive asymmetrical control philosophy—you’re removed from direct combat management, which immediately separates it from conventional strategy-RPG design. The combination of heavy pre-battle customization with minimal mid-battle agency creates a planning-focused experience more akin to deck-building roguelikes than traditional tactical systems.
The standout feature here is the “Awakening” mechanics, which act as a resource management layer atop your AI configuration. The tension between buffing heroines through will-force expenditure and the risk of triggering uncontrollable Berserker states transforms what could be rote optimization into genuine decision-making. The synergy with customizable AI suggests each run rewards different build philosophies—whether you’re stacking defensive setups to weather Berserker phases or architecting hyper-offense chains. The promise that “luck is not involved” indicates deterministic, repeatable outcomes based purely on mechanical mastery.
The narrative framing—an alternate world accessible only through a stuffed toy intermediary—is admirably odd and hints at a lighter, more whimsical tone than typical doujin RPGs. The premise of helping girls “burdened by duty” suggests character-driven storytelling exists, though the synopsis cuts off before clarifying the scope of narrative integration.
This appeals specifically to players who prize systems depth and tactical problem-solving over real-time reflexes or narrative-heavy experiences. If you want to spend more time configuring team compositions and predicting battle outcomes than watching animations, this delivers.
Breaker Hearts is a genuinely unconventional tactical game that trusts players to engage with its mechanics rather than hand-hold through battles—a refreshing stance in the current doujin landscape.
