Synopsis

――Lucid Dream――A phenomenon where one becomes aware “this is a dream” while dreaming. After a certain accident, Naito Tōru began experiencing all his dreams as lucid dreams. Sleep is meant to be a time of rest, yet he can no longer find peace whether awake or asleep. The only time he can truly rest is when he collapses from exhaustion. And so Tōru dreams again today. But this dream is different from all the others.

“Maia…? Why are you in my dream…?”

Since his lucid dreaming began, there was one girl who never appeared in his dreams—Maia. Now she has returned before him. For Tōru, this is the shape of his worst nightmare. Yet she was not alone.

“We can’t let bad dreams continue like this.”

With those words, a girl named Arisu helped him within the dream. Arisu, who has walked through dreams and came to Tōru’s dreamscape. ――What does this encounter mean? Tōru finds no answers in his confusion. Then Maia whispers in his ear:
