The great god Odin laments that Yggdrasil, the holy World Tree of the divine realm, has fallen under the control of demons. He entrusts the hero Roland with the sacred mission to reclaim it.

Armed with the holy sword Gram Nova, forged from the fangs of evil dragons, and the soul-binding celestial ring Helial Linker, Roland sets forth on his campaign for continental unification.
