Synopsis
My company recently established a US branch for global expansion, and now many talented staff members from that branch work in Japan. As headquarters staff, I’m responsible for training and mentoring employees sent from the branch, including taking them on business trips. My current junior is Karen, an American-born half-Japanese woman who is fluent in Japanese, cheerful, and well-liked by clients.
Today I accompanied her on a regional business trip. After our presentation, a major typhoon has stopped all bullet train services. We frantically search for a hotel, but only one room remains available… The scent of her wet shirt… What will happen between us?
