Synopsis

21st century, modern day. The protagonist Tomoru Henshi has just begun working at the Tenma family’s mansion, the wealthiest estate in the region. While his classmates attend their first year of high school, Tomoru lives and works as a live-in servant instead of pursuing his studies. Not because he lacked the aptitude, but due to circumstances beyond his control—consequences of his parents’ past actions.

Tomoru doesn’t see himself as unfortunate. “Pitiful? I guess… but I don’t really think of myself that way.” In times like these, having steady work and a place to live is enough. Though the family patriarch, Genichiro, speaks harshly to him—he seems to dislike him, honestly—Tomoru is still content. The head maid Shizuyo is intimidating, the men in black are lively, and most importantly, Miss Seishiryuu is kind. It would be even better if her older sister Yuuria were here, but she’s been missing for a month under mysterious circumstances.

Then one day, everything changes. A demon with a pointed tail appears before Tomoru, demanding a contract like Mephistopheles himself. In exchange for his soul, the demon promises to grant his wishes. But Tomoru is no Faust. That voice, that gaze… it can only be one person he knows.

Tomoru stares at the demon and asks: “Miss Seishiryuu… isn’t it?”
