Main Story Synopsis

One night, brothers Io and his younger sister Kei are invited to the village chief’s mansion and told about a village custom called【Underworld Marriage】.

It is a tradition where once every 50 years, a young maiden of the village is offered to the dead.

The two are informed that Kei has been chosen for this ritual.

Io plans to let Kei escape the village first, then follow after her himself.

However, Kei, who fled ahead, slips on the mountain and is brought to Io on the brink of death.

Facing Kei’s dire condition, the villagers propose a condition to the bewildered Io.

‘If you agree to take her place, we will save Kei. However, you must not flee or resist. Understood?’
