Synopsis
Ryousuke earns his living translating pornographic novels. Married to Mako, a former model, he suffers from a heart condition that prevents him from enjoying an active intimate life. Beyond his physical ailment, Ryousuke carries deep psychological wounds. Years ago, after sleeping with the girlfriend of a small-time gangster, he incurred their wrath—his then-girlfriend Mariko was assaulted and subsequently lost her mind, disappearing from his life.
Trapped by his traumatic past, Ryousuke experiences a severe cardiac episode during an intense encounter with Mako and flees the hospital before fully recovering. In a park, he becomes fixated on a young woman holding a broken guitar, endlessly repeating the same song. Impulsively, he brings her home and begins calling her Mariko, projecting the image of his lost love onto her troubled form.
Director Katsutoshi Onuma, master of aesthetic cinema, adapts Rei Nakanishi’s world of passionate obsession. Featuring acclaimed appearances by Shoji Ohtake, Tetsuro Hoshino, and others. A provocative erotic drama showcasing the early career of Miharu Koshi.
