Synopsis

Garland, a mid-tier adventurer, is tricked by a senior adventurer into a dangerous quest and sustains severe injuries. Though he survives, with no family or relatives to care for him, his recovery and return to adventuring seem impossible. Distrustful after being betrayed and targeted by gold diggers who learned of his recent fortune, Garland struggles to find trustworthy help.

When he hears that a recently conquered nation is selling prisoners as slaves, Garland makes a pragmatic decision. Despite his adventurer’s philosophy favoring freedom, he purchases slaves—beings bound by absolute obedience to their masters. With their unwavering loyalty, they become the care and companionship he desperately needs during his recovery.
