Synopsis
I’m introverted and socially awkward. I have a girlfriend, but she’s cheating on me. At a corporate training event, I’m paired with my colleague Saika Kawakita for a presentation. She’s beautiful, competent, and kind—someone I thought was out of my league. Due to a mix-up, we end up sharing a room.
I feel awkward about it, sure she’d hate being stuck with someone like me. But after our presentation succeeds, she praises me enthusiastically: “We were the best! Your planning skills combined with my presentation ability are unstoppable!” She encourages me to be more confident, telling me I have more talent than anyone.
When she discovers I’m being cheated on, she says: “I can’t forgive a girlfriend who doesn’t appreciate you. I’ve been watching you all along… I like you. I know your wonderful qualities better than anyone.” This beautiful woman is praising me, confessing her feelings. A world I never thought existed.
When she kisses me, my mind goes blank. My girlfriend doesn’t matter anymore. That night, Saika and I crossed the line.
