[ENG Ver.] Chalcedony I

Editorial Review

★3.2 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

Scat-focused doujinshi occupies one of the most niche corners of the adult manga market, and MAMIANA’s Chalcedony I commits to it with a premise that leans into absurdist comedy rather than grim realism. Where much fetish-specific work in this space simply strings scenes together, this one wraps its content in a tongue-in-cheek supernatural-curse framework, with a secret tradition at a prestigious all-girls institution and a hereditary affliction striking the student council.

The synopsis shows the creator knows how ridiculous the setup is, calling the curse “horrible, embarrassing, and utterly ridiculous,” and that self-awareness gives the book a camp register that sets it apart from more clinical entries in the genre. The scene list is also unusually structured for a 19-page release. It moves through public-pressure scenarios, a ballet-lesson accident, and a communal outdoor finale, which suggests escalation from private mishap to collective ritual. The recurring emphasis on shame, propriety lost, and “despair and pleasure” entwined points to a humiliation-driven appeal more than a purely physical one. On the practical side, the official English release arrives in both JPEG and PDF formats, a convenient touch for readers who want flexibility between phone, tablet, and desktop viewing.

The audience here is narrow and clearly defined. This is for readers who already seek out scat and embarrassment content and enjoy a heightened, almost gothic-comedy wrapper around it. Anyone uncomfortable with the subject should skip it, and the creator’s own caution about the heavy fetish focus is well placed. At 19 pages including the cover, it is a compact sampler rather than a deep narrative experience.

Verdict: a knowingly outrage
