~Story~
Two worlds exist in this realm.
One is the present world where humans dwell. The other is the eternal world inhabited by non-human beings.
During daylight, the sun’s power keeps them separate, but when darkness falls and light is sealed away, the two worlds overlap.
Even tonight, monsters slip through the darkness, emerging from the eternal world into ours.
From minor mischief to major incidents, they commit misdeeds to disturb the human realm.
But fear not. As long as they exist, peace shall never falter.
They are the ones who exorcise monsters. Humans call them Onmyoji.
~Character Introduction~
Abeno Kaede: Descendant of a prestigious Onmyoji lineage. His entire family belongs to the government-sanctioned Onmyoji organization and boasts numerous subjugation records. Possessing enough power to match even great demons, his delicate appearance often leads people to mistake him for a girl.
Chiko (Thousand-Year Fox): A supreme great demon who has lived for a thousand years as her name suggests. She possesses vast spiritual power that sets her apart from other demons. Though often willful, her nature is extremely gentle and she generally dislikes conflict. Recently unsealed from a mountain shrine due to Maraki’s schemes, she has been revived in the modern era.
Maraki: A great oni with unique powers who employs a special technique called curse marks of her own design. During the Heian period, she waged war on the capital using curse marks but was sealed on a spiritual mountain by renowned Onmyoji. However, Taiji accidentally broke the seal, and she now seeks Chiko’s power to achieve complete resurrection.
Hashimoto Taiji: An ugly, obese middle-aged man with a unique constitution devoid of spiritual power.
