Synopsis

People’s fleeting thoughts and regrets gradually fade away.

It is not that they are forgotten, but rather the thoughts themselves dissolve into the air and are purified by sunlight.

However, strong emotions and lingering regrets cannot be fully purified even by sunlight.

Such powerful thoughts eventually accumulate and transform into potent spiritual energy.

This powerful spiritual energy is called malevolent spirits, and they attach themselves to unrelated people, twisting their minds and thoughts.

This is what is known as “being tempted by evil.”

At night when sunlight cannot reach, malevolent spirits become visible and active to the human eye.

However, those without the means to resist no longer venture out at night.

In such a world, there exists an organization dedicated to dispelling malevolent spirits.

Calling themselves the Maids of Misfortune Dispelling, this group works tirelessly through the night streets to protect people without their knowledge.

Sayaka

The protagonist of this story and a new recruit on her first mission.

Alongside a senior member who infiltrated earlier, she enters a certain school that is the source of malevolent spirits to perform an exorcism.
