Synopsis

Imperial Year 1944.

Captured by an enemy nation during wartime, Alfred is purchased as a slave by a merchant of that country.

However, Alfred uses his knowledge to sell medicine in order to buy back his freedom.

Driven by revenge against the empire that drove his father to death, and desperate to return to his homeland, Alfred employs every power at his disposal.

◆Character Introductions

・Alfred

Eldest son of the Glantz Marquis family.

Though born into a knight’s lineage, he was never particularly strong and devoted himself entirely to his studies.

He turns to poison-making, driven by his desire for revenge against his homeland’s enemy.

・Zagan

A merchant from the enemy nation of Sassan.

Due to circumstances, he ends up caring for Alfred, though he harbors strong hostility toward the empire.

As a good-natured person, he gradually becomes drawn to Alfred, despite him being his sworn enemy.
