[Story]
When Frank was young, his sister was suspected of being a witch. And so the two of them ran… but during their escape they encountered a real witch, and Frank’s sister was killed. Frank, on the other hand, was celebrated as a hero for doing away with such an evil creature…
Now a young man, Frank has turned his reputation as a witch hunter into a career. Every girl that he kills, however, is an ordinary person with no powers or even sins to speak of. That’s when a real witch named Shuto enters his life. She hands him three gems, saying that they had the power to defeat a real witch.
Frank and Shuto’s past becomes clearer as his witchfinding journey continues…
This is an RPG Maker MV remake of the original free game “Violent Witches”/”Violent Witch: International”.

Characters
Frank
The main character of this work.
Thanks to the trauma of seeing his sister killed in front of him as a child, he now callously cuts down women accused of witchcraft. There is one exception, however…
Shuto
A mysterious woman who suddenly appeared in Frank’s life one day. Her name means “nothing”. She’s a witch with tremendous magical powers, but gives Frank three different gems to defeat a “real witch” all the same.
Lily
Frank’s older sister. In the past, the two of them lived a quiet life together. However, she was eventually imprisoned on suspicion of witchcraft. Frank rescued her when the villagers weren’t looking, but…
The Witches
Silk
One of the 8 witches that Frank fights against. She’s a Liquid Witch, able to dissolve at will into a liquid. Unlike most witches, she lives alongside humans. However, things start to change wherever she goes.
Enola
One of the 8 witches that Frank fights against. It is said she lived in a desolate ocean and both seduces and aids sailors. She idolizes the god of the sea.
Lamia
One of the 8 witches that Frank fights against. A Gluttonous Witch who lives off the land, never staying in one place for very long. It’s hard to grasp exactly what she is thinking or saying, but this seems to be a defense mechanism that hides something deep inside her.
Hoolu
One of the 8 witches that Frank fights against. She lives alone in a huge mansion, not allowing anyone inside. She’s known as the “Absolute Defense Witch”. Despite her appearance, she’s actually the oldest witch in the land. Although she has tremendous power, it apparently wasn’t enough to protect a certain something…

Editorial Review
This is a morally inverted witch-hunter narrative wrapped in RPG Maker’s accessible framework—a rare tonal commitment for the adult game space. Rather than glorifying the traditional “purge the witches” fantasy, *Violent Witches: The Vindicator* positions its protagonist as a serial killer operating under false pretenses, celebrated by society for murdering innocent women while actual supernatural threats remain hidden. That thematic inversion, anchored by the tragic inciting incident (Frank’s sister’s death during their escape), immediately distinguishes this from the vanilla power-fantasy witch-hunter works that dominate the category.
The gem-based companion system suggests a structural sophistication beyond typical visual novel linearity. The promise of eight distinct witch characters, combined with the meta-narrative hint that “various stories will gradually combine into one,” implies branching interconnected arcs rather than isolated routes—a design philosophy more common in narrative-driven strategy RPGs than adult games. This approach rewards replaying and demands attentiveness to how individual character threads weave into larger patterns about Frank’s delusion, culpability, and the nature of real versus perceived evil.
The animation tag, paired with RPG Maker MV’s engine, indicates this prioritizes motion and combat sequences over static CG galleries—a production choice that reinforces the action-RPG positioning and distinguishes it from visual novel-dominant peers. The dark, lonely atmosphere noted in the synopsis suggests environmental storytelling and dread rather than titillation-first design.
This will resonate most with players drawn to subversive narratives in adult games, those comfortable with morally compromised protagonists, and fans of melancholic fantasy worldbuilding who want mechanical engagement alongside psychological depth. If you’re fatigued by straightforward power-fantasy framing in this space, *Violent Witches* offers genuine thematic ambition.
