SEQUEL awake [English ver.]

Editorial Review

★4.2 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

SEQUEL awake positions itself as a full-fledged RPG with substantial H-scene integration rather than a visual novel masquerading as one. Built in RPG Maker VX Ace with 25 hours of content, it sits comfortably in the niche where mechanical gameplay and adult content coexist with genuine parity—neither overshadowing the other. The English localization (DLsite Official Translation, noted as Recommended) suggests this is a title the platform considers worth introducing to English-speaking audiences, which carries some quality assurance weight.

What distinguishes awake is its unambiguous commitment to femdom framing across 82 H scenes with substantial variation. The ability to skip content featuring characters you’re uninterested in—specifically the optional femboy scenes—demonstrates the creator’s understanding that even within a narrower fantasy (domination-focused scenarios), player agency matters. Eighty-two scenes is substantial depth by adult game standards, and the CG variability across multiple positions suggests investment in visual novelty rather than reusing assets. The teasing dynamic drawing from both monster encounters and allied party members creates narrative coherence; you’re not simply collecting disconnected sex scenes but experiencing a consistent power dynamic throughout the game world.

The accessibility features (scene replay via map, locked-scene requirements visible, text skipping, log function, UI toggle) indicate thoughtful UX design for a genre often dismissed as careless. The infrastructure assumes players want multiple playthroughs and convenient scene revisitation.

Femdom-enthusiasts seeking a complete game experience rather than a collection will find genuine value here. The 25-hour scope suggests substantial non-H content, making this appealing to players who want RPG progression alongside sexual content rather than choosing between them.

A solid, feature-complete entry in the English-localized RPG-with-content space.
