Synopsis

Three rules govern the Ubugata household:

First, the family headship must never pass to a blood heir.

Second, the Ubugata successor shall be chosen from strangers by the “Six Tengu.”

Third, those who break this law shall surely face the tengu’s curse.

Ubugata Kizashi, the mysterious patriarch rumored to have tengu blood and a legendary investor, has passed away.

University student Aoyama Setsuna, working a summer part-time job at the Ubugata Manor, becomes entangled in the ritual to select the family’s new heir—the Six Tengu.

The Six Tengu spans six days. Only the one person who remains in the manor until midnight on the final day will inherit the Ubugata family headship and all its wealth.

Gathered at the manor are cunning individuals of the highest caliber.

Confused and bewildered, Setsuna meets Kurozuka Ichidou, who smiles and says:

“To survive the Six Tengu—become my ally. Of course, I’ll be yours too.”
