Bunny Girlfriend Plus – Rein Futaba

Editorial Review

★3.2 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

This is a straightforward CG collection positioned squarely in the magical girl fanart niche, trading narrative momentum for focused character study through multiple costume and pose variations. The 25-image format—one base plus 24 iterations—represents the standard approach for doujin illustrators maximizing commercial appeal on DLsite, though the execution hinges entirely on how substantially the variations differ visually rather than cosmetically.

What distinguishes this collection is its grounding in an established character ecosystem. Souhare Rein operates within the “Affection Heart Series” universe, and the artist leans into the dual-identity appeal: the charismatic high school idol as source material, then the transformation into Affection Windy as the fanservice anchor. This character familiarity is itself a selling point for readers already invested in the broader franchise, though newcomers should understand this works best as supplementary content rather than standalone introduction. The inclusion of both HTML browser viewing and PDF formats, plus reduced-resolution smartphone versions, signals professional distribution consciousness, a practical consideration that matters for consumers juggling multiple devices.

The magical girl bunny aesthetic taps into a reliable formula: the costume appeals through innocence-coding while the character’s canonical status as a “nationally beloved heroine” provides legitimacy to the sexualized framing. The variation-heavy structure suggests this prioritizes customization over single dramatic beats—multiple angles, expressions, and undressing states rather than narrative progression.

This collection will resonate most strongly with series completionists and character fans seeking high-volume visual content of a familiar face. The CG+illustration hybrid format and multi-platform accessibility suggest solid technical production standards. For those already emotionally invested in Souhare Rein’s character, this delivers exactly what the format promises; for casual magical girl enthusiasts without prior exposure, the value proposition depends entirely on how substantially those 24 variations justify the purchase.
