[Village Chief] “Regrettably, you sought to betray us!”

[Village Chief] “Days ago, a cave was discovered at the village’s edge. Enormous magical power pours forth from within.”

[Marie] “I know of that strange magic. But I thought you said you’d investigate it yourself, Village Chief?”

[Village Chief] “Indeed. And from our investigation—an artifact was installed deep in the cave, draining the magical power from us villagers.”

[Marie] “Impossible! If such a thing existed, I would surely have noticed…”

[Village Chief] “Exactly. You noticed and ignored it. To sacrifice us!”
