For years, two witches have terrorized the city and taken over the castle within, with their dark magics. All attempts to slay them has failed. Only a true hero can answer the call of the people and stop the witches, once and for all.
Then one day, a traveler arrives at the inn. Could they succeed where others have failed?

Old-school turn-based RPG territory, the kind of “rid the city of its witches” fantasy quest that remains a reliable staple of the doujin scene, where the adult appeal is usually built into a conventional dungeon-crawling frame rather than a story-first structure. Strangers of the Power follows that template: the northern city of Serina is held hostage by two witches who have seized its castle, and a mysterious traveler arriving at the inn is the latest hope.
The distinguishing features are in the systems. You choose among unique playable characters, and the bundled Trancevania DLC raises the roster to four, along with a bonus dungeon and additional weapons. Randomized loot is tailored to each character, so the magician never gets stuck with armor she can’t use. It’s a small but considerate design choice that many randomized-loot games skip. Combat is animated for both heroes and enemies, and the voice acting, which includes the girls groaning and moaning as they fight, makes the battles themselves the vehicle for the erotic appeal. The Music tag suggests audio matters here, and the English tag and standalone Mac application format mean you can start playing without translation patches or compatibility workarounds.
