Synopsis
December 16, 20XX
Day 23 since the outbreak—
Sumida Ward, Tokyo
He survives alone.
■Gameplay
The objective is to survive in a zombie-infested city while visiting apartments across various condominiums to collect H-events.
The locations where H-events occur are randomly determined at the start of the game.
Each location change advances game time by 1 hour. Hunger increases over time (advancing 1 stage approximately every 12 hours; eating reduces it by 2 stages). If you flee from zombies 5+ times while in critical hunger status, it’s game over.
Male zombies move randomly between rooms roughly every 6 hours. Entering the same room triggers an encounter. You can then choose to flee or, if you have a weapon, consume it to temporarily defeat the zombie (though they eventually revive).
There are 12 recruitable female characters total, with 3 appearing in each condominium. Each character’s situation changes over time, and they gradually zombify, eventually attacking like male zombies.
H-scenes can be viewed at intermediate stages before they become hostile. Some characters start alive; if you meet them while alive and provide support like sharing meals, subsequent H-events will differ.
Editorial Review
City of Corpses plants itself squarely in the post-apocalyptic NTR sandbox space that’s been gaining traction since 2019, but with a survival mechanics backbone that distinguishes it from purely narrative-driven corruption works. The combination of resource scarcity (hunger mechanics advancing every 12 hours), procedurally randomized H-event locations, and time-pressured character degradation creates mechanical stakes that most NTR titles treat as mere window dressing.
The core appeal hinges on its systematic approach to corruption: rather than static scenes, each of the twelve recruitable female characters exist on a degradation timeline, gradually zombifying and becoming threats themselves. This mirrors the player’s own desperation spiral—as hunger mounts and ammunition depletes, moral compromise becomes inevitable. The 5+ flee-while-starving game-over condition is particularly sharp design, forcing genuine risk calculation rather than consequence-free exploration. Male zombies respawning every six hours add environmental pressure that prevents safe farming of earlier areas.
The 3DCG presentation and violence tags suggest this leans into survival horror aesthetics rather than pure erotica framing, positioning the sexual content as transgressive byproduct of civilization collapse rather than the default fantasy state. The randomized location system demands multiple playthroughs to see all scenarios, rewarding players who engage with the mechanical layer rather than rushing through.
This will appeal specifically to players who want meaningful mechanical friction in their adult sandboxes—those fatigued by consequence-free NTR titles and hungry for systems that make moral compromise feel earned rather than predetermined. Casual players expecting streamlined scene access will find the survival loop frustrating.
A genuinely systemic take on post-apocalyptic corruption that respects its own mechanics enough to create actual resource tension. The randomization demands engagement rather than checklist completion.
