Pure Soldier OTOMAIDEN #6.Visitor of Mist (English Edition)

Editorial Review

★3.8 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

Pure Soldier OTOMAIDEN occupies a comfortable middle ground in the magical girl action-adventure space, blending supernatural battle narratives with the slice-of-life downtime that’s become increasingly central to the genre’s appeal over the past decade.

What distinguishes this installment is its deliberate pacing architecture. Rather than sustaining the high-stakes demon-regeneration plot through a full volume, the creator pivots to a hot spring respite after the climactic battle, a structural choice that resets narrative tension and pivots toward character intimacy. The addition of Ageha as a catalyst for this detour suggests interpersonal dynamics will carry the installment’s weight—a smart move given that many readers of magical girl material prioritize relationship development over relentless action sequencing. The R-15 rating and the hot spring setting telegraph the kind of suggestive but non-explicit content that defines the boundary between mainstream shonen and adult-oriented doujinshi, threading that needle deliberately.

At 82 full-color pages, production values appear consistent with professional serialization standards, which matters significantly in the doujinshi market where PDF release quality can vary wildly. The mysterious forest folklore element adds atmospheric texture that distinguishes this arc from straightforward vacation filler—there’s a suggestion that leisure and danger remain entangled even during downtime.

This will most satisfy readers already invested in the Pure Soldier OTOMAIDEN continuity who value character exploration and atmospheric worldbuilding alongside combat spectacle, particularly those who enjoy the romantic and comedic potential of group dynamics in supernatural settings.

A solid continuation that understands when to ease off the accelerator and let character and mood carry forward momentum.
