Synopsis
~Quest RPG~
Half a century ago, a mysterious sorcerer unsealed the Demon Dragon, awakening it from its ancient imprisonment. The dragon has plunged the continent back into chaos and terror, corrupting monsters and turning them savage against humanity.
Our protagonist, Ice, a girl living a simple life in a rural village, embarks on a perilous journey to the dragon’s castle to restore peace. Along the way, she must pass through checkpoints at each region’s boundary by completing various guild quests.
These quests range from simple tasks to dangerous missions—from item retrieval and monster extermination to experimental trials and theft. Ice’s challenging adventure now begins…
Features a day/night system, multiple endings based on choices and lewdness level, turn-based combat with various monster encounters, and over 600 CG images across 47 base scenes.
Editorial Review
Ice slots firmly into the quest-driven RPG subgenre that’s seen a resurgence in mid-tier doujin production—think structured progression through regional gates rather than open-world wandering. The formula is familiar, but Apple Soft leans hard into player agency through a branching system that genuinely ties mechanical progression (lewdness tracking) to narrative divergence, a design choice that most competitors still fumble.
What distinguishes this work is the specificity of its quest architecture. Rather than padding the runtime with arbitrary grinding, each regional checkpoint functions as a gating mechanism that forces narrative-meaningful decisions: item retrieval, monster extermination, experimental trials, theft. That variety matters. The day/night cycle implementation—still uncommon in this tier of production—adds rhythmic structure to what could otherwise feel like a flat grind. The 47 base scenes generating 600+ CGs suggests substantial asset investment, and voice acting across this scale indicates a studio taking production quality seriously. Large breasts as a tagged feature suggests character design philosophy rather than incidental detail, which appeals to players who prioritize aesthetic consistency.
The multiple endings system hinged to lewdness tracking is the key differentiator. This mechanic transforms what could be passive viewing into active stat management, giving players genuine reason to replay routes and experiment with different quest-completion strategies. That’s engagement design working correctly.
The creampie tag positions this squarely for players seeking fertility-coded intimate content, distinguishing it from generic adult RPGs. This specificity suggests the work knows its intended audience precisely.
Ice succeeds because it respects the quest-RPG structure as narrative scaffolding rather than window dressing. Players seeking a mechanically coherent progression system wrapped in substantial CG investment and branching outcomes will find this delivers on its premise efficiently.
