Synopsis
◆STORY◆
“Down the rabbit hole lies… a murder scene.”
One day, protagonist Alise (customizable name) gets sucked into a mysterious “spatial rift” in the middle of the city and tumbles through it.
She lands in a strange city in the dead of night.
There, she encounters a terrifying serial killer wearing a white rabbit mask—the “Ripper Rabbit”!
Barely escaping with her life, Alise learns that this world is inhabited by monsters—another dimension entirely.
Worse yet, there’s no way back to the surface.
To make matters worse, she’s been framed for a crime and now has a massive bounty on her head!
Hunted by both the Ripper Rabbit and the general public, Alise must take work at either the “Hatter’s” or the “Grocer’s” shop, but it seems all the residents have their own quirks and issues…!?
A moderately mature otome romance adventure game (ages 15+) where you evade a serial killer while pursuing love.
※This work contains horror elements, blood, violence, and cruel depictions.
Editorial Review
BLOODY TEA PARTY positions itself as a darkly comedic otome romance with genuine thriller mechanics—a surprisingly rare combination in the English-translated doujin space, where horror-romance hybrids typically skew either too comedic or too grimdark. The Alice in Wonderland framing (spatial rift, rabbit mask killer, Hatter and Grocer establishments) immediately signals self-aware genre play, but the inclusion of actual serial killer pursuit alongside romance routes suggests this aims for tonal balance rather than parody.
What distinguishes this work is the cohabitation framework layered over active danger. Rather than simply choosing between love interests in a safe scenario, Alise must survive while living alongside characters explicitly tagged as yandere and verbally abusive—the restraint and violence tags indicate this isn’t cutesy “obsessive love” but something genuinely uncomfortable. The tsundere combination with these elements creates an unusual dynamic: characters torn between affection and hostility, which the game appears to explore as psychologically rooted rather than purely comedic. The framing as “ages 15+” adult content suggests the violence and cruelty operate thematically rather than gratuitously, though the inclusion of verbal abuse and restraint tags confirms this isn’t a light read.
The premise also sidesteps typical otome structure by making the protagonist actively imperiled and agency-constrained—she’s hunted, framed, and desperate for employment rather than simply choosing between suitors. This asymmetry creates friction most otome games avoid.
The work appeals most to players comfortable with psychological horror beats in romance, who appreciate yandere characters written with genuine instability rather than moe appeal, and who want stakes that feel material. If you’re seeking a straightforward “choose your love interest” fantasy, this will disappoint. If you want romance spiked with genuine threat and moral ambiguity, BLOODY TEA PARTY delivers precisely that unsettling cocktail.
