    Synopsis

FoxEye presents the 2D Underwater Action adventure of Margaret, Guardian of the Tower of the Water Deity.

    * The wait is over! BLUE GUARDIAN: Margaret is fully localized into English thanks to the translation assistance of TPLS.

Now you can experience the Japanese game, without regional concerns, around the world on any Windows OS system!

Please enjoy the adventure to your heart’s content!

    * Smooth underwater swimming, tight responsive action, speedy gun shooting.

Obtain new abilities as you explore the open sea, fire magic bullets to discover hidden paths and items,

and strengthen Margaret as you go. Created in the time-honored tradition of explorer action games,

there are 3 difficulty settings to match the preference of any player.

Set in the flooded sea-tower of a water god, BLUE GUARDIAN is the beautiful, sometimes gruesome,

modestly sexy portrayal of a girl who uses no gear: a natural underwater diver.

    * “Margaret” received heavenly orders to protect the “Tower of the Water Deity” as its Guardian.

But she’s an easygoing girl. Guardians are usually strong because they’re masters of a variety of magic and martial arts.

Margaret, however, is poor at magic, so she uses two large-sized pistols that fire magical bullets.

She is full of vitality and has built up her body, but she’s learned no martial arts or stuck to anything like that.

In short, she has slacked in her everyday duty as the Guardian.

Her laziness has let the Tower of the Water Deity fill with monsters and its water become polluted,

troubling the humans and angering the gods.

Apollo, in charge of communication between the Guardian and all gods, has ordered Margaret to

reveal the source of the pollution and wipe out the monsters.

The story of Margaret begins now…

    * This game depicts half-nude and full-nude drownings, as well as water-related t*rture that make the game

“soft hardcore”, but rest easy that there are no grotesque depictions like blood or broken bodies.

I hope your understanding the design and furthermore that you will purchase and enjoy the game.

    Editorial Review

★3.8 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

An English-localized 2D underwater action game arriving from FoxEye via TLS translation, BLUE GUARDIAN: Margaret positions itself in the explorer-action subgenre—think Metroidvania DNA applied to aquatic settings. This is a relatively sparse niche in the adult doujin space, where most action titles lean toward terrestrial fantasy or sci-fi backdrops, making the oceanic setting an immediate differentiator worth noting.

What makes this stand out concretely is the emphasis on fluid movement mechanics paired with exploratory progression. The synopsis highlights “smooth underwater swimming” and “responsive action,” language that suggests thoughtful physics implementation—critical for a game where momentum and buoyancy should feel distinct from standard platforming. The mechanical loop of obtaining abilities to unlock new sea-tower areas, combined with magic-bullet environmental puzzle solving, echoes classic design philosophy while the three difficulty tiers signal accessibility-conscious development. The R-15 rating and tags noting a “modestly sexy” portrayal of an unarmored protagonist suggest the erotic appeal here is restrained and visual rather than narrative-driven, aligning with atmospheric immersion over explicit content.

Production credentials matter: voice acting and original music appear prominent in the tag list, indicating above-baseline audio investment for a doujin title. The English localization itself represents a removal of regional friction that typically limits Japanese indie game discovery.

The appeal lands squarely with players seeking methodical action-exploration over story weight—those who value tight controls, environmental discovery, and the aesthetic satisfaction of mastering an alien ecosystem (in this case, submerged) over plot-heavy narrative experiences. This is a game about *place* as much as character.

BLUE GUARDIAN delivers competent explorer-action with genuine environmental personality and localization access; a solid pick for action-first players willing to embrace a quieter, water-logged adventure.
