I Confessed to My Crush and She Was a Guy

Home R18 Games I Confessed to My Crush and She Was a Guy

    Synopsis

I’ve just transferred to a new school. I don’t have many friends yet, but I’ve already fallen for someone.

Spending my days peeking at her club activities, captivated by her presence. Wanting to get closer, I start taking action—and before I know it, I blurt out a confession.

    That’s where our story begins──

This work continues the “crossdressing” theme from the previous title “Natsukkera!” However, while the previous game focused on the protagonist’s feelings toward a crossdressed girl, this time I wanted to explore the internal conflict of “a crossdressed girl who identifies as male.”

…Though it might not have turned out quite that way (laughs)

As has become customary, characters from the previous work make cameo appearances to enrich the story. That character who couldn’t shine in the last game? They get plenty of action this time!

The story branches are still limited, but there are multiple endings depending on your choices.

    Editorial Review

This visual novel plants itself squarely in the femboy romance subgenre, but distinguishes itself by centering narrative weight on gender identity rather than treating crossdressing as purely aesthetic appeal. Where many titles in this space use feminine presentation as a setup for surprise or fetish payoff, this work attempts something more introspective: exploring what it means for a character who dresses femininely to navigate their own relationship to gender while being pursued by the protagonist. The developer’s candid note about the execution—acknowledging the concept “might not have turned out quite that way”—signals an ambitious reach that occasionally exceeds its grasp, which is refreshingly honest for doujin development.

The narrative framework is deliberately intimate: a transfer student’s slow-burn crush, escalating to an impulsive confession that reframes everything. By pairing tsundere personality dynamics with school-setting aesthetics and formal uniforms, the work leverages familiar visual novel comfort zones while the crossdressing and femboy elements provide genre specificity. The inclusion of returning characters from the predecessor “Natsukkera!” adds continuity depth and allows secondary characters their own narrative moments—a structural choice that demonstrates series ambition beyond one-off exploitation.

The limited branching structure and multiple-endings system suggest this prioritizes narrative cohesion over player agency maximization, keeping focus on character development and dialogue over systemic complexity. The anal tag indicates content range, though framed within what reads as romantic progression rather than disconnected encounter design.

This lands best with players who appreciate relationship-focused visual novels where emotional vulnerability matters as much as physical content, and who’re drawn to gentle subversions of gender presentation tropes. The work’s earnest attempt at psychological authenticity, however imperfect, sets it apart from more straightforward satisfaction-delivery titles in the femboy space.

A thoughtful, self-aware entry that doesn’t quite land all its ambitions but respects its premise enough to try.
