Synopsis
In the grand mythology of the Norse, there exists a tale of beings known as Valkyries.
The Valkyries, also called the “Choosers of the Slain,” bear the sacred duty of collecting the souls of heroes and warriors (Einherjar) who continue to fight even in death. They welcome these warriors to Valhalla to prepare them for the final battle of the gods—Ragnarok.
This is Midgard, the world of men.
This world is constantly engulfed in warfare. Here exists a great and mighty hero named Siegfried, who fell defeated on the battlefield. He was savage and cunning, yet extraordinarily powerful. No one could match him. He was always victorious.
Yet why did he fall?
It was because he grew weary of a world where no one stronger than himself remained.
The god Odin, captivated by his strength, desired to appoint him as a general for Ragnarok. Thus, Odin commands the Valkyries to bring him to Valhalla.
