If the game won’t run on Vista, 7, 8, or 10, try the following:

・Enable DirectPlay (Windows 8.1 and 10)

Control Panel → Programs and Features → Turn Windows features on or off → Check “DirectPlay” under “Legacy Components”

・Change Japanese input system to something other than “Microsoft Office IME”

Right-click language bar → Settings → Add installed services → Add “Microsoft IME” for Japanese, then set it as default.
