Reunion of Angel [LI Project]

Editorial Review

★4.2 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

A rare all-ages otome positioned as a supernatural redemption narrative rather than a romance-focused pursuit. In a landscape dominated by adult content, Reunion of Angel commits entirely to its premise: seven days for a freshly deceased protagonist to offset karmic debt through good deeds, with two angelic observers steering her choices. The decision to keep this all-ages while maintaining a full voice cast and original artwork suggests confidence in the scenario itself as the primary draw.

What distinguishes this work is its structural constraint. The seven-day timer creates genuine narrative pressure absent from sprawling visual novels—every conversation choice and deed carries weight because time genuinely runs out. The dual capture targets (Karma and Shin) appear positioned less as romance endpoints and more as philosophical counterbalances, with their contrasting approaches to Mai’s redemption forming the thematic core. This is otome as character study rather than relationship simulator, a positioning that will appeal or alienate depending on player expectations. The “Moving” and “Serious” tags signal emotional substance rather than comedic relief, and the pure love classification indicates sincere emotional stakes rather than casual flirtation.

The 2-3 hour runtime suggests a compact, focused experience designed for replay—likely to see how different choices reshape the ending without padding. Full voice acting in a short-form otome is a production commitment that signals this isn’t a side project, and the credited voice lineup indicates professional caliber performances.

This appeals specifically to players seeking meaningful narrative consequences and character-driven storytelling over extended relationship building, who value thematic coherence and don’t require explicit content to engage emotionally. If you prioritize dense plotting and moral complexity within tight constraints over branching romance possibilities, this delivers precisely that.

A deliberately paced meditation on redemption and consequence disguised as an otome game. Worth your time if the core premise resonates.
