    ■■STORY■■

To rescue her missing friend “Constanze,” the beautiful clergyman “Marianne” ventures into the defiled sacred realm “UnHoly Sanctuary.”

Utilize holy chains and various magic scrolls to defeat the enemies that assault you!

    ■■GAME DESCRIPTION■■

A classic life-based side-scrolling action game featuring a female R○ Priest as the protagonist.

Conquer each stage by utilizing your main weapon “Chain” and various skills.

The game consists of 5+1 stages, and you clear the game by defeating the final boss.

While we provide beginner assistance measures (detailed below), the difficulty level as an action game is somewhat high. Without practice on keyboard controls, clearing may be difficult, so we recommend using a gamepad.

The protagonist features a forgiving design where she can revive on the spot as long as she has remaining lives, even if she falls during the stage.

However, if the protagonist falls and comes into contact with an enemy, the game transitions to a special event sequence, resulting in game over.

Examples of special events: demi-human assault, tentacle assault, violation, painting absorption, essence drain, corruption

All special event sequences are expressed through pixel art animations, with corresponding game over CGs prepared for each scenario.

Total defeat pixel animations: 26 characters (excluding separate motions and variations)

Total game over CGs: 26 images (including 2 variations)

Feature-wise, we provide “Stage Select” to resume from cleared stages, and “Warp Portal Mode” to play any map of your choice after clearing all stages. Additionally, the gallery mode unlocks after viewing the true ending, and there’s even a mode that recreates the movements from a certain gaming video channel…?

    Editorial Review

UnHolY SaNctuaRy positions itself as a niche fusion of classic side-scrolling action—think Castlevania’s whip-based combat stripped to pixel-art essentials—with defeat content mechanics that flip traditional game progression into erotic stakes. It’s a rare breed where mechanical challenge and adult content aren’t separate modes but structurally intertwined, which immediately separates it from the crowded “action game with H-scenes appended” category.

The distinctive hook here is the thematic coherence: a nun protagonist wielding holy chains against tentacle enemies in a corrupted sanctuary creates natural visual and narrative contrast that serves both the action and adult fantasy elements. The pixel-art aesthetic, combined with the trial version availability and honest difficulty warnings, suggests developer transparency about execution—a refreshing contrast to oversold amateur work. The yuri tag alongside the protagonist-rescue narrative hints at character dynamics beyond mere conquest, potentially offering narrative texture rare in this subgenre.

The five-stage structure with a final boss keeps scope manageable for doujin production while respecting the action-game DNA. Magic scrolls as secondary mechanics beyond the chain weapon suggest varied combat pacing rather than button-mashing tedium. That said, the synopsis truncation suggests this is early marketing material, leaving gameplay depth somewhat opaque—the “somewhat high” difficulty caveat could mean genuinely challenging level design or frustrating hitbox jank depending on execution quality.

This appeals most to players who want mechanical depth in their adult action games and aren’t allergic to pixel art or demanding controls. They’re the audience who appreciate when production values match ambition rather than overpromise.

The trial version availability makes this a justified purchase for players betting on competent action design with genuine adult content stakes, though execution risk remains inherent to smaller-scale projects.
