Hojo Rise and Fall+ [Brave and Traum]

Home R18 Games Hojo Rise and Fall+ [Brave and Traum]

    Synopsis

Experience the rise and fall of the Hojo clan, the dominant power of the Kanto region, through gameplay!

This game focuses on the Hojo clan, a Sengoku daimyo centered in present-day Kanagawa Prefecture. Experience their history from their rise, peak, and eventual downfall through multiple scenario-based strategy simulations.

While the scenarios contain historical events, you won’t be at the mercy of random occurrences—allowing you to focus entirely on your own strategic approach.

Of course, you can also play as other daimyo! (Some scenarios excluded)

    (Differences from Demo Version)

    ・Territory count (Demo: 31, +: 34)

    ・Scenario count (Demo: 2, +: 4 or more planned)

・New events added, introduction of local rebellion armies

    ・Significantly increased number of generals

The images shown are from the + version (in development) and differ completely from the demo and gameplay screenshots.

This game uses ‘Senran Shimi Maker’ created by Sky, but you do not need to download it separately.

    Editorial Review

Sengoku strategy enthusiasts will recognize this as a deliberate departure from the typical adult game landscape—Hojo Rise and Fall+ is a historical simulation first, adult framing second. The genre positioning is crucial: this sits at the intersection of serious wargame design and the longstanding Japanese tradition of adult-oriented historical strategy titles, where mechanical depth takes priority over narrative spectacle.

What distinguishes this work is its commitment to player agency within historical frameworks. The developers explicitly reject randomness-driven outcomes, meaning success or failure hinges entirely on your tactical decisions rather than luck. This design philosophy is refreshing in a space often dominated by visual novels where mechanics serve narrative rail-tracks. The expansion from the demo (31 to 34 territories, 2 to 4+ scenarios, expanded general rosters) signals serious iteration and content density—the inclusion of local rebellion armies adds layer complexity typical of sophisticated 4X experiences rather than the streamlined systems most adult strategy games settle for.

The Hojo clan focus provides historical specificity that elevates the work beyond generic Sengoku pastiche. Documenting their arc from regional consolidators to decline gives the campaign genuine dramatic weight, even if you’re ultimately rewriting history through strategic mastery. The flexibility to play as other daimyo (with caveats) adds replayability for those less invested in Hojo-specific narrative.

This is explicitly designed for players who want genuine strategy simulation with adult game production values, not those seeking character-driven storytelling. If your interest in Sengoku Japan is primarily historical and tactical rather than romantic or salacious, and you value systems depth over CG galleries, Hojo Rise and Fall+ delivers on its promise with apparent competence and meaningful scope.
