Hoshina Plus [GRAND†CROSS]

Editorial Review

★4.2 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

Hoshina Plus occupies the comfortable niche of spin-off romance visual novels—specifically, the “redemption arc” variant where a side character from an original work gets her own dedicated dating sim. It’s a well-trodden path in doujin circles, but one that rewards knowing your audience with intimacy and focused character development rather than broad narrative scope.

What distinguishes this entry is its layered approach to lovey-dovey romance. The “horizontal scrolling conversation scenes” system isn’t merely cosmetic; it’s designed to architecturally support the intimate tone the work prioritizes. Paired with full voice acting and newly commissioned CGs, the production values signal a deliberate investment in deepening player connection rather than rushing through content. The animation upgrades mentioned in the synopsis suggest the circle has moved beyond static frames, which remains a meaningful differentiator in a market saturated with minimal-effort ports.

The tag composition is revealing: the pairing of “lovey-dovey” with “clothed” and “gym clothes” indicates this work emphasizes romantic atmosphere over graphic explicitness. This is actually notable given the “creampie” tag’s presence—the circle appears confident enough in character appeal and scenario writing to balance explicit content with genuine affection, rather than letting sexual content dominate the experience. The curvy body type specification, combined with big breasts emphasis, suggests a particular aesthetic commitment rather than generic character design.

This will resonate most strongly with players who already appreciated Hoshina’s character arc in the original work and those who prioritize romantic buildup and voice-acted intimacy over variety in partners or narrative ambition. If you’re seeking a focused, well-produced romance with a specific character you care about, this delivers exactly what it promises. Expecting epic storytelling or significant departures from fan-service romance would be misreading the assignment.
