Home › R18 Games › GH 1900: Upholding Justice with the Flaming Blade

    Synopsis

An affordable fantasy AVG series playable for just 100 yen.

This is the second installment in the Guggenheim series.

On a distant continent on a faraway planet from Earth, a fantasy drama unfolds in Guggenheim.

    GH Year 1900.

In the autonomous region of the Guggenheim continent’s northeast, the Chronos Autonomous Region experiences an incident where a shrine maiden from a neighboring country is kidnapped. This incident is orchestrated through careful long-term scheming, and it becomes the catalyst for a much larger catastrophe.

Yukino Hiiragi, a swordmaster of the Homura school, sets out to resolve this incident. The swordmaster draws her blade for the sake of her own justice.

※This work is a 4-part series. The story concludes mid-way, so please be aware.

    Editorial Review

★4.2 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

Guggenheim’s second entry positions itself as an unusually accessible entry point into fantasy visual novel storytelling, leveraging the episodic structure to lower financial barriers while maintaining narrative ambition. This is lean, serialized worldbuilding at a price point designed for trial audiences—a shrewd counter to the bloated production cycles dominating the commercial visual novel market.

What distinguishes this installment is its grounding in a specific historical-fantasy framework: Year 1900 in Guggenheim’s Chronos Autonomous Region serves as a concrete setting rather than generic fantasy window dressing, and the inciting incident—a shrine maiden’s kidnapping—functions as the convergence point for larger political machinery. The protagonist, Yukino Hiiragi, arrives as a swordmaster operating within her own moral code rather than simply reacting to plot, which suggests character agency built into the narrative architecture. The tags indicate this leans toward adventure-driven progression with magical elements woven into the worldbuilding rather than dominating it, a balance many fantasy AVGs mishandle by privileging spectacle over coherent plot motivation.

The deliberate mid-story conclusion is worth noting: this isn’t a truncated experience but a structured serialization, meaning readers should expect genuine narrative development within clear boundaries rather than cliffhanger frustration. For audiences comfortable with episodic storytelling and willing to invest across installments, that model allows for denser character and world exploration than a rushed full narrative would permit.

This appeals specifically to readers who value worldbuilding coherence and character-driven motivation in fantasy narratives, and who see affordable episodic releases as an advantage rather than a limitation. Newcomers to both the Guggenheim setting and budget-conscious visual novel enthusiasts will find solid foundation work here. A lean, purposeful fantasy narrative that respects both player time and budget constraints.
