Synopsis

When industrial revolution through mechanization swept across the world and new forms of society were established, the first music box was born.

Yet lacking the pin comb of modern designs and unsuitable for mass production, music boxes were merely recognized as a pastime of the nobility, their existence remaining obscure.

——And at that very moment.

An orgel craftsman devoted his life after being moved by its sound, and a pianist carried the burden of a short musical career in exchange for talent. Their fates intersect, and there is born an orgel called the ‘Orgel of Orpheus’—said to possess a melody that captivates even the gods.

This is the story of how an unnamed music box came to be known as the Orgel of Orpheus.
