Synopsis

Once, there was a war between gods and demons.

A massive army of demons led by the Demon King descended upon the Arcadia continent, home to mankind.

The war came to an end when eight gods sent by the creator deity Arcadia joined forces with humans to drive the Demon King back to the demonic realm.

During that conflict, two cursed swords were left behind on the Arcadia continent.

One was Diogrance, a demonic sword with a soul, created by the Demon King himself.

The other was Soul Eater, a demonic sword possessed by an eccentric demon who sided with humanity.

Both cursed swords were eventually sealed away by the demon who would later become the founder of Grannorn.

Soul Eater, which devours the souls of its victims and wielder alike, was sealed in the royal castle.

Diogrance, which wields its blade by its own will and soul without need of a user, was sealed deep underground where no human could reach.

Time passed.

The war between gods and demons faded into legend among the people, and everyone forgot about the two cursed swords—until it happened.

Diogrance, the demonic sword that once turned its blade against humanity, stirred from its long slumber and began to awaken.

Queen Layla of Grannorn sent an army to contain the situation and re-seal the cursed sword, but not a single soldier returned.

Only one option remained.

To use the power of Soul Eater, the very sword that once sealed Diogrance away, to devour its soul once more and render it powerless.
