    Synopsis

The “Age of Six Generals” – a time when the demon realm’s supremacy was fiercely contested.

A hero who unified all the demon lands became known as the “Demon Lord,” the king of the underworld.

However, the Demon Lord died young, and his descendants inherited the position of Second Demon Lord.

Shuu Cordie is a young warrior whose abilities were recognized by the previous Demon Lord during battles against the rebel faction “Stray Demons.”

One day, Shuu receives a letter of invitation from the Second Demon Lord.

“I invite you on behalf of the previous Demon Lord.”

But then, Shuu discovers the Second Demon Lord’s “true form”…

The Second Demon Lord’s real identity is just a hopeless little girl!

With a suspicious con-artist fortune teller and a passionate, headstrong female warrior caught up in the chaos, a chaotic story full of mishaps is about to begin… or so it seems!

    Editorial Review

★4.2 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

Protecting the Demon Lord Knight positions itself as a fantasy action-romance with narrative weight, distinguishing itself from the glut of isekai power-fantasy games by grounding its appeal in character-driven relationships rather than protagonist ascension. The “Age of Six Generals” framing suggests genuine worldbuilding ambitions, which is rare in the adult game space where fantasy settings typically serve as window dressing.

What makes this work stand out is the specific inversion it attempts: instead of the player character inheriting or seizing power, the narrative centers on protecting someone incompetent and young who possesses authority by accident of birth. This dynamic—protecting rather than dominating—creates genuine vulnerability in the power fantasy, a choice that separates it from standard harem-accumulation games. The Second Demon Lord’s reveal as “a hopeless little girl” pivots the work toward comedy and caretaking dynamics rather than conquest. The supporting cast composition (the con-artist fortune teller and headstrong female warrior) suggests the game is aware it needs to balance tonal whiplash—the synopsis promises both “serious” stakes and “chaotic mishaps,” which could either enrich the experience or fracture it depending on execution.

The tags “Heartwarming” and “Serious” together hint at a work attempting emotional sincerity without abandoning its comedic foundation, something the adult game medium rarely balances successfully. The historical framing gives the fantasy setting texture that elevates it above stock medieval aesthetics.

This will appeal most to players seeking character-focused fantasy narratives with humor and heart, particularly those fatigued by typical power-fantasy trajectories. If you value relationship dynamics and tonal complexity over pure dominance fantasy, the premise here suggests genuine thematic ambition.

A character-driven fantasy game that swaps conquest for protection—worth exploring if you value narrative character work alongside its adult elements.
