■Story
…Snow women.
They exist only in winter, with no particular purpose. Mere existences that never interact with humans, living quietly until spring when they melt and return to sleep.
Among the snow women, there is one who is curious and bold—a young snow woman who sneaks away from her kind to venture into human settlements.
Her name is Fubuki.
One day at a winter festival in a village, Fubuki becomes captivated by an ice statue of a woman that glimmers in the light. She finds herself drawn to the artist who created it.
“A snow woman must not steal the hearts and souls of humans,” an elderly snow woman tells young Fubuki slowly, gently, and with a hint of sadness.
Fubuki doesn’t fully understand the meaning of these words.
Then spring passes, and winter returns once more with the snow festival.
