Synopsis
Once, the nation of Hinomoto was an absolute monarchy ruled by an Emperor and nobility. Then came revolution. Three years after the upheaval, most nobles including the Emperor were exiled, and Hinomoto became a republic.
Over a decade has passed since the transition to a republican system. At Kikuunoha Academy, two female swordsmen clash. One is Tatuta Miya Aria, descendant of the former Emperor and fiancée of the student council president—beloved by students. The other is Yamano Noemi of the Student Council Military Police, eternally overshadowed and unpopular due to her cold and arrogant nature.
Both care deeply for Hinomoto, but Noemi, a hardline republican and nationalist, cannot accept Aria’s existence. Her mother is of the imperial family from the neighboring nation of Rossilth—Aria represents a threat to Hinomoto’s republic.
When Noemi witnesses Aria meeting secretly with a Rossilth spy in the dead of night, everything changes. Driven by her twisted sense of justice against Aria’s unwavering righteousness, Noemi sets in motion a false accusation that will shake Hinomoto to its core.
