Shiyanagisei Steel PR: Four Country Brothers’ Grand Struggle

Editorial Review

★3.8 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

This otome voice work transplants the reverse-harem narrative into an unexpectedly comedic space: corporate idol training. Rather than pursuing typical romantic fantasy scenarios, *Shiyanagisei Steel PR* grounds its appeal in the friction between four brothers tasked with promoting their family company through an idol unit—a premise that inverts genre expectations by making the male characters the reluctant performers while the protagonist observes domestically. It’s a rare tonal positioning in girls’ side voice work, one that prioritizes ensemble chemistry and situational humor over individual route intensity.

The four-brother setup itself is a familiar otome scaffold, but the added layer of curse-breaking backstory (the siblings previously locked in supernatural conflict, now reconciled through the protagonist’s presence) provides thematic weight without requiring heavy dramatic lifting during the idol training arc. The tagline “period-limited comedic struggle record” signals this work prioritizes banter and slice-of-life dynamics over climactic romantic beats. Voice cast selection across the four brothers—with veteran ASMR performer 緑緑緑 anchoring the eldest as the responsible type—suggests attention to differentiated character voices rather than interchangeable male lead templates.

The WAV format indicates quality-focused production, standard for serious voice work releases. The rural setting and corporate family business backdrop provide worldbuilding specificity that many otome works skip entirely, suggesting writers committed to making the idol training premise feel grounded rather than absurdist.

Listeners seeking traditional romantic progression or individual route depth should look elsewhere. This appeals specifically to players who enjoy ensemble comedy, domestic scenarios with children present, and brother dynamics where emotional resolution precedes the story’s timeline rather than serving as its climax. A solid choice for those fatigued by melodrama-heavy otome.
