Synopsis

・Starting from a Single Wagon

You begin with one settler and one spear-wielding soldier, nothing but a fog-shrouded map. Find good land, build cities, have workers farm and mine, and allocate trade profits between research and the treasury. As population grows, discontent rises—manage it through temples, arenas, or entertainers. Distance breeds corruption, forcing you to build courts or relocate your capital. Over thousands of years, you race toward completing a unified theory, eliminating rival nations, or achieving three cities with eternal culture. Victory depends on your choices.

・Each Leader Thinks Differently

Ten civilizations, ten leaders—each with unique strategies. Their approach to conquest, expansion, construction, learning, commerce, and loyalty differs. Genghis Khan strikes without hesitation against the weak. Ashoka never draws his sword unless attacked. Pericles advances faster to win. Mansa Musa solves problems with gold. Nations hold opinions of you—gifts, technology sharing, and long peace improve relations; war and border friction damage them. Peace and tribute only work when you hold the advantage.

・When the Sea Divides

Choose your world: one connected continent where navies are optional, or scattered islands where civilizations remain unknown for decades until ships launch. Coastal vessels can’t leave shore; ocean crossings require ocean navigation technology and harbored cities. Load units, cross sea, unload—each step costs an action. Sunken ships take their cargo to the bottom.

・Even Great Empires Stay Manageable

Once you exceed ten cities, individual orders become impractical. Automation tools solve this. Workers auto-improve the most efficient tiles. Set city focus (food, production, trade, or balance) to adjust worker distribution. Queue six production projects; skip obsolete wonders others complete first.
