Synopsis
In a future world, sexworkers known as “Daruma prostitutes” have no arms or legs.
Anyone can apply to undergo this modification for free, with all costs waived.
But what if you’re just curious, or being coerced by someone?
Would you really want a body you can never get back?
This is a typing game.
However, it doesn’t test your “accuracy” or “speed.”
It tests whether you “really want to become a Daruma prostitute.”
・Approximately 30 minutes total with auto-advance. Contains sound effects, so please be aware.
・This is a beginner programmer’s work, so there may be issues. Please let us know on Twitter if you find any.
・This is an HTML-based game. It should work in any internet browser (probably).
・For environments where typing isn’t possible, like smartphones, there’s an auto mode that advances automatically.
・Only 3 new CG images are in color. The rest are pictograms and explanatory images. Unlike our usual offerings with 10 CG images and variations, so please understand.
Editorial Review
Occupation: Daruma operates in the increasingly crowded space of dystopian body-horror erotica, but its mechanical framework—a typing game that doubles as consent simulator—distinguishes it from the passive consumption model that dominates the genre. Rather than presenting the titular body modification as inevitable spectacle, the work forces active participation through its typing mechanic, making the player’s engagement itself part of the narrative’s interrogation of choice and coercion.
The core conceit is genuinely unsettling in productive ways. The premise hinges on a uncomfortable central question: modification offered “for free” in a future where desperation might render consent meaningless. The tags reveal a work more interested in psychological degradation and institutional humiliation than isolated sex acts, positioning it alongside critical speculative fiction that uses adult content as a vehicle for examining power structures. Machine stimulation paired with restraint imagery suggests a dehumanization narrative with teeth, not mere fetish aesthetics.
Production transparency is refreshing. The developer’s acknowledgment of limitations—minimal full-color CG, HTML foundation, beginner-level technical execution—manages expectations without apologizing for ambition. At 30 minutes, this is digestible but focused. The inclusion of auto-advance for mobile compatibility and auto-mode for accessibility shows consideration beyond the standard DLsite checklist.
This work will resonate with players seeking conceptual depth in adult experiences, particularly those drawn to ethical dystopias and psychological scenarios over visual spectacle. Readers fatigued by conventional power-fantasy frameworks may find its interrogative structure genuinely disturbing in ways polished productions avoid. The typing mechanic as consent-testing device is the rare mechanical choice that reinforces thematic content rather than existing separate from it.
A conceptually sharp entry that prioritizes philosophical discomfort over production gloss—worth engagement precisely because it doesn’t make participation frictionless.
