[Smartphone Ver.] Imitation × Hero [Captive and Alien]

Editorial Review

★4.3 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

A fantasy RPG with genuine mechanical depth masquerading as visual novel territory—this is commendable positioning in a landscape where adult games increasingly sacrifice systems for narrative convenience. The protagonist’s late arrival at Logiacruz Academy creates narrative friction immediately, but the real hook is his concealed agenda and the cold, analytical gaze he directs at Eleanor rather than the typical wide-eyed admiration. That’s a deliberate subversion of academy romance tropes.

The tag combination of pure love alongside netorare and netori is unusual enough to warrant attention. Rather than the exploitative power dynamics that often plague academy-set adult content, this work seems genuinely invested in exploring genuine romantic tension within a structured RPG framework. Eleanor’s dual positioning as both authority figure and romantic interest, paired with her status as a decorated hero, suggests the developers understand how to layer complexity into character relationships. The cross-section and creampie tags indicate explicit content is present, but the stated focus on pure love and the developer’s explicit disavowal of NTR-focused storytelling suggests these elements serve relationship progression rather than degradation fantasies.

The mention of substantial RPG mechanics is not window dressing—potential players should treat this as a legitimate game purchase with sexual content, not a visual novel that happens to have combat. The AI-assisted backgrounds are a transparency point that experienced doujin consumers will already factor into their assessment, and honesty about production methods scores points in an industry prone to opacity.

Enthusiasts of fantasy romance who value mechanical engagement and character-driven narrative arcs will find legitimate appeal here. The concealed protagonist motivation combined with Eleanor’s enigmatic characterization suggests writers who’ve thought carefully about subtext.

This rewards players willing to invest time in both systems and story.
