Synopsis
The previous work “Hanfura!” had you receiving semaphore signals, so this time we’ve created a game where you’re the one transmitting!
・Semaphore signal transmission is performed through keyboard input.
・The semaphore poses (called “original poses”) displayed in this game are reversed from the original reference materials.
Original reference materials: Original poses from the receiver’s perspective
This game: Original poses performed by the transmitter
・Detailed explanations about semaphore signals are omitted. You can check the trial version of the previous work “Hanfura!” for reference.
Game Features:
■Main Menu: “Getting Started”
≪1. Controls Guide≫
Keyboard input instructions for transmitting semaphore signals.
≪2. Pose Practice≫
Practice all 15 types of poses. Freely input on the keyboard to master correct signal transmission.
≪3. Kana Syllabary Chart≫
Display pose sets for kana characters selected from the list. Memorize and learn to transmit kana characters. Select with numpad (↑↓) in addition to the list.
■Main Menu: “Start Game”
Correctly transmit the poses, kana characters, and sentences that the girl presents. Aim for 100% accuracy!
≪Pose≫
・10 pose problems total.
・Press Space to start.
≪Single Character≫
・Transmit the pose sequence for one kana character.
・Judgment occurs when you lower both flags.
≪All Kana Continuous≫
・All 49 kana characters in sequence.
・Game ends if you make a mistake.
≪Sentence Mode≫
・Sentences up to 8 characters randomly selected from 1,000 options.
・Separate characters by lowering both flags.
・Press Enter for judgment.
・Hints appear after 10 seconds (roughly 2 hints available within the 30-second time limit).
・Voiced and semi-voiced sounds won’t appear in hints.
Editorial Review
Hanfura 2! occupies a genuinely niche space within the adult game market—a pedagogical puzzle-training hybrid that treats semaphore signaling as both intellectual challenge and interactive learning framework. This is a direct sequel emphasizing role reversal, shifting from signal reception to active transmission, which is a structurally sound design choice that deepens mechanical engagement.
What distinguishes this work is its commitment to authenticity wrapped in accessible keyboard-driven gameplay. The reversal of poses to match transmitter perspective rather than receiver perspective shows deliberate attention to usable instruction; this isn’t abstract puzzle design but functional training grounded in real semaphore methodology. The progression structure—moving from basic controls guide through isolated pose practice into character-level kana transmission—follows sound pedagogical scaffolding. The inclusion of a practice mode without time pressure acknowledges that the learning curve itself is the content, not a barrier to overcome.
The educational framing sets this apart from typical puzzle games. While the adult game market occasionally produces instructional works, few commit this thoroughly to making the learning mechanism itself engaging rather than tokenistic. The keyboard control system transforms what could be rote memorization into physical muscle-memory building, creating a feedback loop between input and mastery. Tags like “Training Game” and “Practice Mode” aren’t here as afterthoughts; they’re central to the value proposition.
This targets enthusiasts of educational gamification and niche-hobby simulators—players who find genuine satisfaction in systematic skill acquisition and unconventional puzzle frameworks. The prerequisite familiarity with the first Hanfura! slightly narrows its audience, though the controls guide mitigates this.
A legitimately specialized training tool that respects both semaphore signal protocol and player progression. Essential for its intended audience, invisible to everyone else.
