Synopsis

Salaryman Damaru Rishi seeks comfort from his hectic daily life by purchasing a plant called a ‘space plant.’ However, due to a shipping error, he receives a dangerous parasitic species instead—one that targets mammals it likes.

Rare and precious, this dangerous species becomes Damaru’s responsibility. In exchange for leaving his corporate job, he agrees to cooperate with research as the host for the creature he names Hani. However, both are mysteriously kidnapped due to their rarity.

When Hani’s condition deteriorates following the kidnapping, Damaru ends up in an intimate encounter with researcher Ayagawa to help restore Hani’s stability. Shockingly, it’s revealed that Ayagawa is actually the same entity as Hani!

After recovering with Ayagawa and Damaru’s help, Hani moves in with Ayagawa while Damaru recovers from broken bones sustained during the kidnapping. Soon after their cohabitation begins, the research facility’s director and staff appear at Damaru’s door.

Damaru feels an inexplicable connection with staff member Youti and becomes close friends. The director also seems like quite an unusual person…?!

Meanwhile, it becomes clear that the kidnapping incident is far from over…
