The protagonist Kouta, an aspiring archaeology professor, and his girlfriend Misuzu have promised to marry. Due to her parents’ opposition, the couple remains unmarried. However, if their fieldwork research in Chibfu Village succeeds, Kouta can become a university professor with stable income, which would resolve her parents’ objections.

But waiting for them in Chibfu Village is an ancient and terrifying obscene tradition passed down through generations.
