[ENG Ver.] A story about having an affair with my gal boss 2

Editorial Review

★3.2 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

Workplace infidelity doujinshi remains a reliable subgenre, and this sequel trades on the straightforward appeal of illicit affairs with minimal narrative friction—exactly what this audience expects. The “gal boss” archetype paired with the cuckolding premise (marriage undermined by attraction to a superior) hits established beats in the adult manga landscape, where power dynamics and workplace transgression continue to drive engagement despite market saturation.

The minimal synopsis signals a work prioritizing scenario over story development. Twenty-two monochrome pages suggest efficient pacing rather than elaborate buildup; the appeal here centers on the core fantasy—a subordinate yielding to temptation with an attractive authority figure while domestic obligations wait at home. The sequel designation indicates an established fanbase, and readers returning will likely appreciate continuity of character and tone rather than narrative reinvention. The English localization is notable positioning; despite DLsite’s Japanese-centric audience, English translations expand accessibility for non-Japanese readers seeking this specific dynamic without language barriers.

The monochrome presentation is standard for mid-tier doujinshi production, neither a drawback nor a selling point in a market accustomed to black-and-white manga. What distinguishes this sequel from one-off workplace affairs is presumably escalation or deepening complications—the “debauchery continues” framing suggests progression rather than repetition, though the synopsis frustratingly withholds specifics about what escalation entails.

Readers seeking straightforward workplace infidelity fantasy with established character continuity and zero pretense toward literary complexity will find straightforward satisfaction here. Those expecting narrative complexity, tonal variation, or psychological depth should look elsewhere. The English availability is a genuine convenience factor for international readers specifically hunting this scenario.

A competent sequel for those already invested in the premise; fresh audiences might sample volume one first to assess fit.
