[ENG Ver.] A story about having an affair with my gal boss 1

Editorial Review

★3.2 / 5 — henhenta editorial rating (our own assessment, not the DLsite official user score)

Domestic infidelity remains a reliable engine in adult manga, and this entry positions itself squarely in the “cuckold-adjacent betrayal” niche where transgression derives not from role-play but from genuine proximity and violation of trust. The gal boss archetype—confident, flirtatious, existing outside the domestic sphere—offers familiar contrast to the sleeping wife, and the synopsis leans hard on spatial tension: the vulnerable boss, the sleeping spouse mere meters away, the protagonist’s capitulation to desire.

What distinguishes this from routine affair content is the specificity of social entanglement. This isn’t a random encounter or workplace seduction; the three parties share actual relationship bonds, making the breach feel more consequential than typical anonymous scenarios. The setup also privileges the emotional framework—hesitation, escalation, the boss’s uncharacteristic vulnerability—over pure mechanical explicitness, suggesting a narrative-driven approach rather than perfunctory scene-setting.

The monochrome format is pragmatic for the price point and delivery method, though it inevitably softens visual impact compared to color work. At 20 main pages, this is episodic content designed to establish premise and deliver one substantial sequence rather than develop complex character arcs or multiple scenarios. The English localization broadens audience reach beyond native Japanese readers, a practical consideration for international DLsite sales.

This appeals specifically to readers who prioritize psychological transgression and social violation over elaborate fantasy—those drawn to the “real infidelity” aesthetic where characters feel like they *might* exist outside the frame. The domestic setting and friend-of-spouse dynamic will resonate with audiences fatigued by dungeon scenarios and alien encounters.

A competent execution of a well-worn premise that understands its specific appeal: forbidden intimacy derived from real social stakes rather than constructed fantasy.
